Fighter and high flier
Robust and relentless
Prolific politician
Ebullient , intelligent
Adamant servant
Vigorous and generous
Ever-present Minister
Even where there is disaster.
Thinker, writer campaigner
Kind , compassionate
Bold and considerate
In tune with Croydon’s heart beat
Walked with her, never missing a beat.
Has left a huge hole
In Croydon as a whole
Lost his fight with cancer
But won Croydon’s heart for the better.
Adieu, Brave Heart, Adieu!
Rest in Peace!
