Treasures of darkness
come in camouflage.
They’re like righteousness,
Peace and godliness,
Which are true riches,
Incomparable
To worldly riches.

To the carnal mind,
They are foolishness
Come only to bind;
Empty- poverty.
To the child of God,
They’re worth more than gold,
And should be pursued.

So where is your heart?
Where is your treasure?
In heaven or earth?
What gives you pleasure?
Is it God-approved?
Who do you adore?
What do you adore?

O Lord, give me love,
Gentleness and peace;
Long-suffering and faith,
Goodness and patience;
Heavenly wisdom,
A purposeful life,
Godliness and joy.

My Lord and my God,
Give me Purity
And integrity,
Faithfulness, kindness,
Your Holy Spirit,
Contentment,
Self-control,
Reverential fear,
Intimacy with You.
A worshipful heart.

These are true riches;
Treasures of darkness.

15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.
16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
17 Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' --- and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked ---
18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
