This poem teaches what God gives to us

God gives us wisdom for His Kingdom

Understanding to enable us to stand

Right insight and foresight for His might

He gives vitality, versatility and victory

God gives kindness, freshness and forgiveness

Love, laughter and light to enlighten

Grace from the Throne of Grace for our Race

He gives goodness, gentleness and greatness.

God gives comfort, counsel and cover.

Supplies, serenity and security;

Partnership, parent-hood and peace

He gives vision, Mission for promotion.

What more do you need?

The Titanic Was a Teacher

This poem eaches us some lessons from the tragedy of the Titanic

The Titanic was a teacher
You can even say, a preacher
She taught salient lessons
Truths that can be a blessing.

Great songs have come from her
Block buster movies too have come
But did we learn the lessons from her?
Here they are for the wise to heed:

It is good to heed warnings
A stitch in time saves nine
Never think that you are immune
Pride goes before a fall.

These things happened... as... warnings for us... 1 Corinthians 10:11
'These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us... So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!' (vv. 11-12).

Lord, help me to be sensitive to the warnings of your Spirit. May I heed the directions and instructions from your word and keep along the straight and narrow pathway. O that I will kill the little foxes that spoil the vine, and put paid to pride which goes before a fall.
